What programmes does MISCC offer?
MISCC currently offers eight Diploma programmes—including Child & Adolescent Counselling, Sex Therapy, and Grief & Bereavement Counselling—as well as several 8–12‑week Certificate courses in leadership, coaching, and mental‑health first aid.
How long does each programme take?
Diploma programmes run across two 16‑week semesters (about 9 months). Certificate courses take 8–12 weeks.
What is the mode of study?
Learners can choose Online (asynchronous + live webinars), On‑Campus (evening & weekend sessions in Tema), or Hybrid.
Is MISCC accredited?
Yes. MISCC is licensed by the Ghana Psychology Council, and its curricula benchmark the International Association for Counselling (IAC) competency framework.
What are the entry requirements?
Applicants must be 18 years or older with a Senior High School Certificate (or equivalent). A degree in psychology or prior counselling experience is helpful but not mandatory.
Can I study while working full-time?
Absolutely. Classes are held in the evenings or on weekends, and recordings are available for online learners.
How are assessments conducted?
Diploma students complete quizzes (20%), practical case analyses (40%), and a practicum project (40%). Certificate learners take a proctored online exam and a reflective assignment.
What qualification will I receive?
Graduates earn a Diploma or Certificate issued by MISCC and co-signed by the Ghana Psychology Council. These are mapped to the Ghana Qualifications Framework Levels 6 (Diploma) and 5 (Certificate).
Are MISCC awards recognised internationally?
Yes. MISCC’s programmes align with IAC and ICF standards and allow credit transfer into select universities in the UK and US.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Tuition can be paid in three instalments per semester. Scholarships are also available based on merit or need.
How do I apply?
Fill out the online application form, upload the required documents, and pay a GHS 200 processing fee. Admission decisions are sent within 10 business days.
What learner support services are available?
Support includes academic advising, mental-health counselling, access to EBSCO online library, and career-coaching clinics.
In which language are courses taught?
Courses are taught in English. Some in-person sessions may include support in Akan, Ewe, or Ga.
Can I transfer credits from another institution?
Yes—up to 30% of credits, subject to syllabus match and grade validation.
